More than 150 years of history ... In 1857, the top-class Hotel Inglaterra was built on the site of the demolished Casa Grande de San Francisco Convent. As Seville’s most prestigious establishment in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it received visits from illustrious people of the time, including King Alfonso XIII, Queen Elizabeth of Belgium and the Prince of Wales.
In 2007, coinciding with our 150th anniversary, the Spanish Government awarded the Hotel Inglaterra the “Spanish Tourist Merit Award" for the second time, in recognition of the hotel’s one hundred and fifty years of history.
Our Location ... The Hotel Inglaterra enjoys a privileged location in Plaza Nueva in the citys central square, Plaza Nueva, opposite Seville’s Town Hall building. Its excellent location and the pedestrian streets around the hotel make it easy for guests to walk to the citys main monuments.
