The design uses the natural landscape which is set against the Sierra Bermeja mountain range, and enjoys sea views from most parts of the course. Course reviews:

"The course had dug up fairways !! Very disappointing after 4 great days in atalaya. No starter and flow of golf not good . The course was very poor but the greens were good !! Paths and surrounding areas very poor . All in all not great !!"
