Las Colinas Golf course
Course: Las Colinas Golf course
Country: SPAIN, Region: Valencia, Province: Alicante, Coast: Costa Blanca
The golf course extends across the valley between the hills, adapts to the unusual lie of the land and blends naturally into the landscape. The width of its fairways, the design of its extensive undulating greens, and the numerous tees at each hole give it great versatility and mean that it is suitable for professional competitions, while also offering any player a pleasant, enjoyable and affordable game.GolfVideo Las Colinas

"the course is in good shape but the distance that the buggies are kept of the green is way to far for us -not being that young we all felt that this course was not user friendly and that we would not return to this venue again"

"Tredje gången jag spelar banan och greenerna håller dålig kvalitet, banor som villa Martin, lo romero och la finca har fantastiska greener men LAS colinas lyckas inte" - Calle

Dock något dyr." - Kalle

This is a course in very good condition. Various golf holes with both long and short holes.
There are par 3 hole that is 100 m and 190 m (yellow tees). One or maybe two par 4 holes you can reach from the tee (if you hit long drives). Hole 18 is a risk-reward hole that you can reach the green in two strokes, but there is a water hazard guarding the green. I played a drive, 5 iron. The course condition is very good, but it was a bit dry on some fairways, played in late July 2010, so it is perhaps not so surprising. Are you going to play this golf course, I recommend golf cart. It is pretty far to walk between the golf holes. It costs little more to play this golf course compared to the other courses in the area, but it is the best golf course of the 6 golf courses I played in Torrevieja area, I think it is worth the money. Balls to the driving range, cold water in the golf car and a course guide is included in green fee charge.

Las Colinas is a very good course - as you would expect from a Cabell Robinson design. As the name suggests it is a bit hilly - but not too bad, and there are places that there is a bit of distance between a green and the next tee. There is a bit of water on the course, but in general the fairways are fairly generous, and it is not too punitive - so enjoyable for most standards of golfers. The quality of clubhouse and service is very good as well.
I would certainly recommend it to your clients - but with one warning. As I said the course would be fairly tough to walk (although there were a number of people who did on the day we played). However, because of re-seeding of fairways (a couple of months ago..!!) buggies were only allowed on the buggy paths. On a number of holes the paths were well away from where your ball could be - and often the paths were above the fairway (a bit like the 4th at Santana). In fact it may have been easier to walk than use a buggy. They did say that buggies would be allowed back on the fairways again soon - but it would certainly be worth checking as it would make a huge difference.
