Located in the incomparable beauty of the Andalusian mountains, Santa María Golf meanders through a valley following its contours and is surrounded by natural vegetation made up of pines, oaks, cork oaks, olive trees and a small stream that runs through much of the course. The front nine is a more demanding challenge with three par 5 holes, while the inward half with three par 3 holes is more forgiving and has more recovery holes.

"fairways and greens are well kept, the path are clean and the road signs are excellently describing one's way round the course. The only problem was that there was too many flights slowing us down to a degree, which had meant it better to buy a twilight round.
