"If this course was anywhere else in the world, I would have graded it as poor. But because it was in Lanzarote, built on lava rock, with very limited rainfall and harsh winds and storms and the golf course managed to develop greens they had… wow. What an accomplishment. The staff were excellent. They were very accommodating to our needs. The grounds keepers were working hard every day. Yes the winds were very strong. " The course was in poor condition generally. The grass was long on the tees needing a longer tee. The greens were patchy with signs of ant infestation in places. The greens needed cutting and there were clumps of grass on the greens. The holes were very poorly cut with rough edges. The bunkers had probably not been raked in weeks, and a lot of bunkers did not have rakes. It could be a really good course, but if we had booked into the Golf Hotel as part of a golf package we would have been very disappointed. This course needs better maintenance. "

"This is a desert-style course and it's important to find the fairway. It's pretty flat and they have used the contours well to design an interesting course, with some water coming into play. They must have changed the order of the holes, because Garmin starts on the 4th (this was correct). Long walks between green and tee and time spent looking for balls when they go off into the desert grasses meant that it took longer to play than the length would indicate - 4.5 hours (4-ball pace as we were following some 4-balls). "We have played the course many times and always enjoyed it even though it is only a 9 hole course.We go round twice to make up 18 holes and if you go round twice you have a chance to correct any mistakes made on the first circuit. There is development work being done on the complex of the three courses (Ruins, Lakes & Hills courses). The Lakes course and clubhouse is closed at the moment. A new service road is being constructed in the vicinity of the Hills clubhouse and the taxi dropped us off in an adjacent car park which is about 300yds from the clubhouse but by arrangement a buggy will pick you up. Because you have to access the Ruins from the Hills you start at the 4th Tee and acaddy man escorts you to the tee which is a fair drive from the Hills. " - Bob & Sue Garner

"The organisation for tee times is terrible, we played the course twice in 4 days, and after a big mix up the first time, with players not wanting to arrange with the starters, we were pushed behind after having received the suggestion to split up as a couple because 6 players insisted on wanting to play as a three ball each. Todays without notice even at reception when checking in, we were moved from 1130 to 1138. We have full respect that not everyone’s has played golf for long, but to be teamed up with someone who started the game a very few months ago is simply not fair, normally there is some control as to whether players have a basic ability of the game, but having to wait for someone hitting 15 to 20 times on a single hole is not enticing. We feel extremely unhappy as this eventually hampers with one’s own game. Course is in very good condition and greens are at great speed which would be fun, but just having to wait as the other player is being mentored is just too much. The people were a very nice couple, but her ability should not take her to a course…." - tcswede

We’re both decent single figure handicap golfers, and whilst Adele has some beautiful holes with great views, repeated 450+yard par 4s becoming rather tiresome. At Americas, SI 1, 2&3 can be reached with 2 very good shots, whereas at Adeje, many Par 4s simply unreachable even for decent golfers. Adeje will claim that the course is not that long, but remember there are 6 Par 3s, which enables them to make the Par 4s excessively long. Americas, very friendly welcome, pro shop , starter and bar all very attentive and pleasant. Both good venues, but Americas far superior for the good club golfer who doesn’t hit the ball 320yards"

"Played Los Moriscos on June 14, 2021. Experienced the course as a beginner's course, but with quite a few water obstacles. The course is flat with relatively wide fairways, which means that no golf cart is needed. Although several of the holes are close to the sea, we lacked a sea view. The greens were of very good quality. On tees and fairways it was unfortunately quite long grass. The layout of some of the holes, e.g. holes 13 and 14, is quite exciting but as a whole the course felt a bit boring. The overall assessment will be approved (2,5), but we will probably not return, especially as the courses west of Nerja are much better managed and have a more fun layout." - Lars

"Nice course. Many buggys but the one we picked was ready for the scrap yard. The windscreen was smashed and the mechanics of the buggy was noisey. Very old machine should not be in service. Caddy master , nice guy. All was enjoyable accept the buggy was so bad ... my fault to pick it as there was many of them. .
