"Played this course in December Unfortunately the weather was pretty cold and small rain showers, but the views and atmosphere fantastic, wife and I loved the serenity. Cart Paths a little slippery but overall the course was nice challenge for both and not repetitive type holes. Considering the amount of rain the course in very good condition but obviously Bunkers waterlogged. Clubhouse lovely, Practice facilities handy (better than most Spanish courses with Driving range not close to clubhouse). Visiting the area again in March with 2 other couples and already booked a round here so will hopefully review with better weather." - PW46

"Alldeles för svår för oss runt 20 i hcp. Stora skador efter vildsvin, helt omöjlig att gå, buggies ett måste. Tyvärr har banan för få buggies så alla får vänta på sin bil efter lunch tills fm gänget kommer in!! Allt blir försenat! "The course is challenging with fairway slopes. Enjoyable but the greens recently hollow tined this time of year, which made putting very interesting. "We had tee off at 8 o´clock, but no one in greenfee office or at buggies. Toilet was closed.... 5-10 min before came woman in office and at 8 we got the buggies, som we could go to toilet before 1. tee. Not okay. "I teed off at 8am. At least 5 of the first nine greens were not playable due to irrigation. There were pools of water on the greens and water from the sprinklers prevented getting on the greens. I walked off the course after nine holes totally disappointed. The management have offered me another free 18 holes however I feel this does not go far enough. If I tee off again at 8am will the same thing happen. If the greens and fairways cannot be irrigated before 8am should the course not open until say 9am. Golfers should be made aware of this problem. Golf is not cheap these days so Golf clubs should be going that extra mile to provide a service that people appreciate and will use again and again." - Anonymous

"The course was in a decent condition. The tee boxes were a little worn but the greens were good. Smooth and fast. The layout is easy to follow and it wasn’t too busy. Holes 6, 11, 13, 16 and 18 were difficult particularly in the wind. One major point is if you are going to book the daily unlimited golf with lunch, make sure you book an afternoon tee time. We teed off at 0830hrs, then had lunch, which was very pleasant, and when we went to play in the afternoon the club house ‘colleague’ would not honour the voucher for the afternoon/ unlimited golf. After a few phone calls he agreed to let us play and the buggy rep managed to slot us in between 2 x 4 balls but it was slow. It would have been interesting to see what they would have done if we wanted to go around again." - Anonymous

"Very good course (Good Plus/Excellent minus) well worth the drive into the mountains, and subsequent stop off in Mijas (very pretty). Buggy a must due to the hills and some cracking holes especially the par 3s. Great that it has survived lockdowns and was wetter on the ground than we expected (perhaps the hills/cloud help). We didn't use the clubhouse opting for Mijas instead. Will definitely play again" - Guy Deatker

"My first visit to this course as over the years most people have advised me not to bother with it as it’s too quirky and too many unfair slopes. I actually enjoyed it. Accuracy off the tee on many holes is important though. Like many courses here it could be in better condition but overall not too bad some poor fairways. A buggy is much recommended. Lovely views. Staff seemed nice and helpful. Not bad value either and not slow getting round under 4 hours. Would play it again." - Spiggy

"Surprised at how hilly it was! Lovely views. Good that there was a picture on every tee to show where to aim because there's a few blind holes. "Alhaurin is designed very well and the location in the mountains, the view is excellent. But we are very disappointed playing this course on june 2nd, 2021. The course is very poor maintained (obvious that no or very little money is spend in keeping the course in good condition). Fairways are on most holes not more than weadows, the rough, spots around the bunker, apron, paths, not maintaiend/mowed for long time. It really looks very messy and poor, this has nothing to do with golf. All 18 greens were sanded, we were not informed and if, we would not booked for that day. In my view, service and customer minded clubs should inform players (paying good money for greenfees!) that greens are sanded. 18 holes sanded greens again has nothing to do with golf. For sure I will not recommend this golfclub. Also the buggy was old and dirty. " - Anique

"Tres bon accueil pro shop .. terrain correct top fairways et greens rapides pour le négatif les rough mal entretenus et les départ moyen. Pour le gros négatif pas de Marshall créant des bouchons de partie de 4 ne respectant les autres joueurs derrière. Il faut impérativement un Marshall par contre restaurant pas top ?? " - Pascal
