"Played the back 2 9s 10+19. The third 9 is not as good as the other two as 4 of the fairways run side by side and so people are often on the wrong fairway. The 2 par 3s however are good holes. The other 9 is much better. The round was slow taking 5 hours. Course was in fairly good condition. The bunkers not too bad but more sand would be better. Good clubhouse with decent food and nice staff." - Spiggy

"The holes 19-27 were horrible: too tight and narrow. You had to fear of getting hit by a ball from some other hole. It was possible to book the tee time from 8.00 am onwards, though the sun was rising at 8.30. We had a tee time at 8.20 amd we got to start the round at 9.00 only due to darkness and a long queue ahead of us. Bad organisation!" - Golfer from Finland

"Course was in decent condition for this time of the year. Bunkers and greens good. Layout on the main 2 nines is fun but tricky in places. Par 3 fourth hole a big challenge to hit the green as very uphill. Apart from the 4th it’s an easy start. Having played here a number of times the scoring on the front 9 is significantly easier than the back 9. Other memorable holes are the 9th and 18th with water coming into play in front of the greens. Buggy not needed. Set in the middle of nowhere it has done lovely Mountain Views. Friendly staff." - Spiggy

"The quality of the golf course was good and it is a nice course, unfortunately the flags did not fit the hole, so the flag was crooked and we have to take it out for every putt. We also lacked a sheriff to speed up the game, the round took 5 hours plus, which is not acceptable. The golf course is still recommended as it is good." - Johan

"The course looks great, green grass and in excellent condition. Being a parkland-style course can make it seem a little boring with parallel fairways but this does mean that a wayward shot is recoverable, unlike some Costa courses. Probably not challenging enough for low handicappers, but suits mid to high handicappers perfectly. Greens were in good condition although I found them quite difficult to read and missed several putts that didn't act as expected. Nice restaurant and friendly staff, all able to speak English. Although the course is quite walkable, I would recommend a buggy for daytime play in the summer due to the sun and limited shade." - Don Pedro

"I have played Lauro many times and I return often as they offer the full package. From the moment you arrive you will be greeted with smiling friendly faces and after your round the friendly staff will provide you with excellent food. The course wanders through olive groves and there is a similarity to many holes but I still find it interesting. Only minor criticism is the keep to the path rule with buggies. This can mean a quite extensive walk and today it was in the 30’s so lots of exercise even if you are not looking for it." - Ian from Epsom
