Prompting you to be behind schedule when you are waiting on gruops ahead of you on every single shot. It should be quite simple to program the system so that groups - based on the physical postion as per GPS coordinates- and thus beyond any doubrt waiting for other parties in front of them - are not disturbed/harrased by the system. "After 7 days with golf in Marbella Los Naranjos was the best golf course we played in my opinion. The golf course has a very good layout, technically difficult with many challenges. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition for most holes. On the back 9 holes there was a couple of holes where the fairway was very wet a few places. Not sure why. There is driving range available where also the driver is allowed. The restaurant was good. The proshop is excellent, huge selection of golf clothing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Pace of play on front 9 was slow, but sped up as the course opened up and folk in front lost fewer balls. Probably a dozen good holes with some holes hat are less memorable. "Where do I start? The course is in excellent condition, challenging without being frustrating and difficult at the same time. Make sense? Our only gripe...... we tee'd off at 0820, no-one in front and a 4 ball behind. We were well in front of time (a timetable is on the scorecard) but the Marshall insisted on pushing us on every 2 or 3 holes on the front 9, despite no-one being in front and the group behind not having to wait for us at all (even though one of our carts wasn't working properly and having requested a replacement on hole 4). All became clear at the turn, there was a local competition on at 10 am and it looked like they wanted the front 9 cleared by then. The Marshall was a bit of a 'tool' and we were close to walking off and demanding a refund if he kept on with the attitude. We never saw him on the back 9. Apart from that, a great course which we will most definitely play again." - Sharpy

"WOW, what a great golfcourse this is. I have played a decent amount of golfcourses around Marbella but this is one of the best. Beautiful holes in a beautiful green environment. One of the difficulties lies in the length of the holes but except that the holes are good to play. A buggy is certainly recommended not only for comfort but also the buggies have GPS which makes it a lot easier if you see how a hole is situated. "We can only give a 3. We have played the course several times over the years. It feels more and more like a public course, very commercial. You are met in the pro shop like someone buying tickets for the cinema. Players do not rake bunkers and do not repair pitch marks on greens. We played today at 09.30 so not many players before us. At least they made an effort today to protect many of the fairways as the course is well know to have problems with soggy/muddy/porr drainage fairways. The buggy with GPS stops if you cross into restricted areas and sometimes just stopped at buggy trail, quite aggravating. Three of the party completed the round. The fourth group member arrived around mid-day but, although wanting to play, was refused by course staff unless an extra green fee was paid. This will be subject of further communications with Golf Service The buggy course map system was virtually unusable. "Spelade golf , behövde bil av medicinska skäl ( väntar på operation av höft) , 3 hål helt avstängda för bil - dålig info ( satt en lapp i butiken som det låg kläder över) ingen muntlig info . Stor skillnad om du åker bil av medicinska skäl eller av bekvämlighet. Dåligt skick på banan , väldigt ojämn o riktigt blöt på vissa ställen. Fick spela med en tysk som slog på fel bollar - ingen koll alls , slog snett o vint o inte det minsta koll på ungefär var sin boll gick. Han försinkade o påverkade vårt spel ( mer än vad vi ville o försökte hålla emot) , banvärdar klagade på långsamt spel som berodde på tysk medspelare samt att jag fick ställa bilen på vägen o gå till min boll som hämnat på andra sidan av fairway o sedan halta tillbaka till bilen. Inget trevligt bemötande i shoppen när vi påpekade problemen vid avslutat spel, de bara skylde ifrån sig. Vi tre svenskar kommer inte att spela på denna bana mer. There is also an excellent new half way house and impressive terrace restaurant. My only criticism would be, the tee boxes and worn and need attention, and the greens were well played with un-repaired ouch mark damage due to the number of golfers attracted to this great course. Today we were not lucky, my wife had a pitching wedge disappear on hole 18 and my putter’s head cover also disappeared while waiting to start our game. "Los Naranjos always delivers a good golfing experience, both on and off course. Hence we return every year. Having just played La Quinta, good to see a club working hard to present on good on course conditions. One annoying factor would be the GPS unit competes with Google to show ads.
