"The GPS in the buggys didn't work, and they had no course guides to sell. And the maps on each hole was a creative painting on a stone. "Mijas Lagos is my favourite course in the area. That includes Sotogrande, San Roque and many others.it is well looked after, has tricky holes which need thought and good play as well as being very suitable for beginners - who will probably lose a number of balls. The greens are generally excellent and the fairways well cut and generous. The water is a constant hazard but also fair and avoidable for the lesser player. My one criticism would be the bunkers, which have no sand and are very hard. Consequently a proper bunker shot is almost impossible. Great days golf heartily recommended." - Golfer 8 handicap

"All aspects of the course were in good condition. Fairways even with good grass coverage, greens were so so fast. To be honest they were too fast for all of our group. Hcp 9-15. "The greens were qyite slow and lots of pitch marks even at 08:40. The fairways are open but they tend run off into trouble or have bunkers where average drives land. A lot o maintenance continued during play and wateredbunkers were like swamps earl on, almost impossible to play out of. Otherwise an open course but difficult to score well on. One final point is that they added 2members to our 2 3 balls. Given that both members were walking and we were in buggies this made for a slow and uncomfortable round. To add to problem, the caddymaster had the cheek to ask why one of the members wasn't using a buggy. He was told in no uncertain terms that he wasn't with us he had been added by the caddymaster and we paid for the buggies, he didn't! Not a great way to treat visitirs and we may not be back." - Anonymous

"The first time we played it, course was Excellent, second time the wind probably had tried the fairways out. As we were playing behind 3 groups of drunk and drinking golfers, the round went on for more than 5 hours. I do not find it acceptable that such players are allowed to keep on playing on a golf club like Mijas. They should not have been allowed to start or complete the round. "Mijas Lagos is a nice course, with friendly staff. Lagos is the best of the two from a layout perspective. Longer holes that needs good shots but give you opportunities to score if played well. Greens and fairways are good but not top notch. Bunkers had quite a thin layer of sand in them, makes it easy to use to much bounce and clean your shot. Overall good value for your money." - Tomas

"Am Wochenende unserer diesjährigen Golf-Tour waren alle Plätze an der Costa del Soll wegen Dauerregen extrem nass und dazu kam noch der Saharasand bzw. Sahararegen. Der Platz war dennoch in einem guten aber nicht sehr guten Zustand. Die Fairways sind nicht zugewachsen und den Grüns fehlte etwas Gras. Ich habe den Platz schon besser erlebt. Die Gastronomie ist klein aber fein. Wir haben gut gegessen und fühlten uns willkommen." - Lutz
