"We loved the layout of the course.. It is so beautiful with some really interesting holes and some that are just spectacular.. It is well priced for the quality of the course. If there is a downside, it was that some of the areas around the greens were a little scruffy with bare lies making chipping difficult but this would not put me off returning. The staff are friendly and the food at the grill was excellent!" - Tony Byrne

"The greens were very good but the rest of the course was a little scruffy and the bunkers are absolutely terrible. Narrow fairways and too many blind shots with no course planner available." - Neil Brown

"Good shape for the price payed. One four ball let us through. After that we could play a four hour round." - Anonymous

"Not as good as I had hoped. A lot of blind holes. Farirway not in best condition. Greens are ok but very hard to read. Sand in bunkers is very coarse and not to my liking at all.

"Greens in good condition, some of the bunkers in very poor condition. Most of the fairways ok, but not worth paying 80 euros. Too many blind holes." - Anonymous

"Due to the rain it was very bad. Greens were ok but bunkers and fairways was a disaster.
Strange that we had to pay full greenfee." - Thomas Lütje

"Good value if played in twilight for this excellency designed course. The white tees are the old yellow ones. Would recommend playing off the new yellow ones as it is a tough course. Sadly many bunkers are not in play. The rest of the course is in good condition. This is easily walkable. Check in is now at the pro shop by the course having now come under new management." - Spiggy

"As the price suggests the old and new course are a class apart. The new course greens are acceptable and the old course are fantastic. Not easy to play, buggy recommended for people with moderate fitness.
We played the new course but will play the old next time. Impressive clubhouse with nice food and drinks. Lovely relaxed erea with eagles flying over head. Hope to return soon." - Mark Jonathan Beal

"This course left me and my family with mixed feelings.
The layout, the reasonable elevation changes and the surroundings with the old cork oaks are really beautiful. Sadly that's the only positive aspect.
The course condition was simply disappointing: weed and blank spots on fairways and greens! This was the case basically on every hole.
If the course had been in a good shape, the following points wouldn't be relevant:
- no club house, just a temporary container including bathrooms
- no own driving range (we were advised to try our luck at the old course range)
- chipping and putting green were in terrible condition
Btw, we walked the course with our e-trolleys, which was ok.
For the time being it's not worth the money. Once they get their homework done, we are willing to give them another chance.

"The design is very good. There are too many bunkers without function. The finish is too low and there should be more grass in playing areas." - Anonymous

"mixed feelings on this. The course is a marked improvement from when we played it 2 years ago. The new owners do appear to have made improvements to the greens. Still a way to go before it is a must play course" - Dalbinder Khatkar

"You can see there is improvement going on and the course is in a transitional stage but with further improvement it will be a very good course and golfing insurance" - Anonymous |
