"San Roque old ist ein toller Golfplatz, in einem sehr guten Zustand. Auch das ganze Ambiente mit dem grandiosen Clubhaus, Proshop, Range etc. ist beeindruckend. Vor allem die vielen Junge Spieler vor Ort zeigen, wie sportlich und ambitioniert der Club ist. Allerdings fanden wir das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis nicht OK. Offensichtlich wollen die Mitglieder "unter sich bleiben", und wenn doch ein GAstspieler kommt, soll er ordentlich bezahlen. Man findet in der Gegend z.T. bessere Plätze mit deutlich geringeren Greenfee." - Volker und Christian

"No surprises played SRO a few times now,personally not my favorite course , very personal opinion not very exciting few holes to remember although I know lots of People love the course. Organization professional , buggies first class, fairways and greens show some wear and tear from the many players playing the course everyday. Bunkers dishomogeneous as far as sand consistency and depth. Cart paths impeccable. Too many tee stumps left on the tee boxes everywhere left and right show lack of care of aesthetics. "We have played the course several times....great layout, wonderful maintenance, very good greens (11 stimpmeter)but: When you are used from former visits to get an insulated drinking bottle as a tee present and instead receive a plastics pitch fork of poor quality - okay... When the Caddy master says, one basket of range balls for two people is enough....okay When before you even have started the Caddy master tells you (two ball), because of some tournaments in front (and behind) you it is going to be al very long day....okay When after 2.30hrs on the 10th tee the caddy master offers you to quit the round and get a new 18 hole round....or play the new course okay, but sorry, we're on the last day of our vacation We finally finished after 5hrs, had some dinner and will play another course next time " - Josef

"Nice design some different looks fair no tricks offering a variety of challenges but within reason In good condition considering dry season Surroundings not particularly exciting (a lot of real estate) but ok Staff courteous but overall guest management quite problematic.. still quite do it yourself which is acceptable but we could not practice as driving range occupied by Golf Academy and golf schools plus members… full fee paying visitors NADA impossible is impossible! In a bad day any kind of s**t happens.. at the end of the 9th we were offered a complimentary small cup of chicken soup super hot but tasty unfortunately in my soup I found a small residue of a plastic price tag of presumably some clothing. Buggy paths ok.. buggy recommended for senior players Tees green fairways and bunkers on good shape..waste boxes full and beyond (days and days of waste)" - Max Monti

My wife and I have played it a dozen times since the rebuild and every time it is in immaculate condition - greens fast and true and fairways, lovely to play off. "Great course in excellent condition and the new practice area is a major improvement but: - compared to eg La Reserva and Finca Cortesin the service staff is not so welcoming and friendly - they had grossly overbooked the course leading to extremely slow play (5 hours).
